Our commitment
Retro Collection Index is only as good as its data. We're committed to building the most complete and accurate catalog of physical video games we reasonably can — and to being honest about where we are on that journey.
Our catalog is assembled from established game databases and licensed data sources, then continually reviewed and refined. Every release is tracked with its platform, region, edition, and other details so your collection is represented as precisely as possible. Cover art and metadata are provided by IGDB, and market values are estimated from PriceCharting and active marketplace listings.
No catalog of decades of physical games across every region is ever truly finished. Games get missed — regional variants, limited runs, reprints, special editions, and obscure releases especially. That's where you come in. We actively encourage our members and the wider collector community to send us anything we're missing or anything that looks wrong, and we work with our network to fill those gaps.
When you submit a missing game, a correction, or better artwork, it goes into a review queue. Our team verifies it against trusted sources and, once confirmed, updates the shared database — so the fix benefits every collector, and everyone's collection stays accurately valued and represented.
We don't claim to be 100% complete or perfectly accurate — no catalog of this scope can honestly say that. What we promise is a genuine, ongoing commitment: we review every submission, we keep improving coverage and quality, and we're transparent that values are estimates, not guarantees. Thank you for helping us build something every collector can rely on.
